What is the difference between a gap analysis and an internal audit?

A gap analysis is a one-off, independent check of your systems against the BRCGS Food Safety Standard, usually ahead of certification or a major change. An internal audit is an ongoing part of your quality management system, carried out regularly throughout the year to keep systems working day to day.

How long does a BRCGS Food Safety gap analysis take?

It depends on the size and complexity of your site. Options range from a full two-day, on-site pre-BRCGS audit to a shorter remote review of your systems and documentation.

Do I need a gap analysis before my BRCGS certification audit?
