The Global Food Safety Standard was first developed in 1998 with the aim of having a single consistent food safety standard.

The BRC Global Food Safety Standard is now  recognised throughout the world as an International Food Safety Standard where many international retailers, food manufacturers and food service suppliers would expect their suppliers to be certified against the BRC Global Food Safety Standard.

Currently the BRC Global Food Safety Standard is on version 6 with the BRC Global Food Safety Standard Version 7 now approved and will be used from 1st July 2015

Today many Food Business would expect their suppliers to be certified against the BRC Global Food Safety Standard

Global Food Consultancy uses consultants  who are BRC certified auditors and who are sub contracted to major certification bodies.

With our partners Complete Food Safety  we carry out BRC evaluations for major certification body.

For more information on a BRC evaluation please contact us and we will pass your details onto the certification body we are subcontracted with. Otherwise please use the BRC Directory to find a Certification body.

If your business is requiring  a GAP analysis to ensure your systems meet the requirements of the BRC Global Food Safety Standard version 7  we have the experience and knowledge clause by clause of the standard and can implement a robust effective system which would be compliant with the BRC Global Food Safety Standard version 7. More info from the  BRC Website

NOTE: The Certification Body will appoint an auditor to carrying out the BRC evaluation. The auditor must have the experience/knowledge of the products/processes produced by the company and must be independent from that company to ensure there is no conflict of interests. Global Food Consultancy is  NOT a Certification Body and we are NOT accredited by UKAS.  We can only supply consultants who are BRC Approved auditors  and carry out sub contract work for leading Certification Bodies.
